Prof. Henrique dos Santos Pereira

Henrique dos Santos Pereira is an Agronomist (Federal University of Amazonas, 1984), holding a master in Biology (National Institute for Research in the Amazon, 1992) and PhD in Ecology (Pennsylvania State University, 1999). He is a full Professor and Special Advisor of International Relations at the Federal University of Amazonas. He is an ad hoc consultant for CAPES and ad hoc consultant for GIZ. Lecturer and guest researcher at the National Institute for Research in the Amazon and Guest Lecturer at the University of Cape Verde. Executive Secretary of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Environment and Society. Thematic coordinator of the ecology area of the Instituto Acariquara. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Agronomic Sciences. Counselor representing UFAM with the State Environmental Council of the State of Amazonas. Member of the Scientific Methodological Committee - CCM of the State Policy for Environmental Services of Amazonas. Has experience in the area of Agronomy and Environmental Sciences, working mainly on the following topics: public environmental management, management of natural resources for collective use, protected areas, family farming and traditional communities.
