Leda Maria Caira Gitahy is a professor at the Department of Scientific and Technological Policy of the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Unicamp, Brazil. She holds a PhD in sociology by Uppsala University, Sweden. She has done considerable field research on the car, auto parts, and white goods industries. She has articles published in journals in Brazil and elsewhere on the labor processes, technological change and labor, subcontracting, social movements, gender and work, social inclusion, indigenous movements, social movements, denialisms, disinformation, and environmental governance.

She is the Brazilian Team’s lead investigator.
